ERIC'S GOODBYE MESSAGE
Hey everyone!

It's Eric here and I wanted to share with you some very important news about myself and The Scene Aesthetic. We've thought long and hard about how to release this information, but I figured it'd just be best to keep things plain and simple.

As some of you might know, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon). I recently accepted a mission call from my church to serve in the Rosario, Argentina mission for 2 years. I have to admit that this was decision wasn't an easy one for me to make. In fact, choosing to go and leave my family and friends behind for 2 years has proven to been one of the most difficult choices I've ever had to make. However, my heart is telling me that this is where I need to be for a while. There are people, places and all sorts of things that I'll run into and encounter that will continue to shape who I am and help me become a better person. I'm going to be teaching people who want to learn about my church and what we believe, and I'll also have the opportunity to help out many people who are in need of service. I got my call to serve in the mail about 2 months ago. Over that period of time very few people have gotten the full explanation of why I'm leaving. I wanted to make this official statement so that there is no confusion about the future of The Scene Aesthetic. We are not breaking up. With me living in another country, it'll make it impossible to play live; but that doesn't mean that while I'm gone nothing new will be happening with the band.

In the spring of 2007 we'll be re-releasing the CD we have out right now. It'll have new artwork, a new name, and 3 brand new songs worked into the tracklisting. We're going to release it as a self titled album. The CD is completely re-mixed and re-mastered. It sounds incredible. Some of the things we weren't totally happy with in the first release we've been able to go back and re-record and make them better. We're so happy with this final product. It'll be released in stores and all of the top online stores such as: iTunes, Amazon, etc. At the last few shows we hired a film crew to follow us around and professionally record all of the performances (if we can't play live, we'll bring great live footage to you instead!!). They're currently in the editing stage with all that footage putting together the first ever TSA DVD!!! On top of releasing that, Andrew and I have been hard at work in the studio and have a complete 2nd album that will be released sometime in 2008 that will have brand new never-before-heard songs, remixes of all your favorite songs off of the first CD, and acoustic versions of all the full band songs. This CD doesn't have an official title yet, but stay tuned for more news about that.

I hope all of that information helps get the point across that just because I'm in another country doing my thing, that The Scene Aesthetic will very much continue. One of our plans is to do some touring shortly after I return. You guys have to understand that I am so excited for what I am about to embark on - Learning a new language, moving to a new country, and serving the Argentine people for 2 years. It'll help me grow in ways I never could have imagined. I feel very strongly that the lessons and things I'll learn over there will set the pattern for the rest of my life and really help me get to where I dream about being in 10, 15, or even 20 years down the road.

I want to thank everyone who has supported our band over the last two years. You have made us become what we are today. You've given us faith in this whole thing that we didn't have in the beginning. You made us believe in what we're doing. I cannot thank you enough for that. From the very bottom of my heart I just want to express my appreciation to anyone who's ever come to one of our shows, purchased a shirt or a CD, asked for a picture or autograph, driven any distance to meet us in person, emailed their thoughts about the band to us, and believed in us.

Until we meet again my friends and family,
Elder Eric Kimberlin Bowley
