TSALOVE INTERVIEW WITH ANDREW

Kika: Hi everybody, it's Kika from TSAlove and I'm here with Andrew from The Scene Aesthetic. Okay, first question. This is from--the first six questions are from Mary in Connecticut. What is the best part about touring?
Andrew: I would definitely say the best part about touring is probably just interacting with fans and getting to know new people.
Kika: Okay, question two. Do you have any pets?
Andrew: I have four dogs--big dogs.
Kika: What are their names?
Andrew: Let's see. Buddy, Bella, ((can't hear the last two)).
Kika: Okay, question three. What is your favorite smell?
Andrew: My girlfriend.
Kika: I had a feeling you'd say that, haha. Where is your favorite place to do a show besides Seattle?
Andrew: I'd have to say either Dallas, Texas or Wilton, Connecticut.
Kika: How come?
Andrew: It's just always so nice there and it's so welcoming, you know. Very receptive.
Kika: This question is also from Mary. Do you like Starbucks?
Andrew: Love Starbucks.
Kika: What do you like to get?
Andrew: I get a iced caramel macchiato. Usually venti or grande.
Kika: What is your favorite song in general, and to perform?
Andrew: I really like performing To The Steadfast, usually. My favorite.
Kika: This is from Jimmy in Ohio. What advice do you have to offer to a budding 2-piece acoustic band like yourselves?
Andrew: You know, I think write music that you love. Make sure it's a part of who you are and you know, that people just--you know just go out and do your best and eventually I think people will catch on and to try your hardest.
Kika: This is from Kat and she doesn't say where she's from. What do you like to do before and after the show in cities you're on tour in? Like if you have time do to stuff?
Andrew: I usually just sleep. After I like to just talk to everybody and get to know other bands make sure that they know that they're loved and cared about.
Kika: This one's from me. Do you ever look your name up on google to see what people say about you? Or have you ever done that?
Andrew: I haven't done--no I don't think I've done that.
((We get interupted by someone...))
Andrew: Sorry about that.
Kika: So you've never done that?
Andrew: Never done what? Oh, no I've never googled anything. I've YouTubed some videos and stuff like that.
Kika: Okay this one's from Christina in Virginia. What inspires your music?
Andrew: Anything that happens in my life, you know, like experiences and things that have been going through.
Kika: This is from Annette in Indiana. How long have you been playing guitar?
Andrew: Since 7th grade... so a long time? Uh, I dunno. 9 years? 8 years?
Kika: This one's also from Annette. Did you have any heroes when you were a kid?
Andrew: When I was a kid, I'm not sure about when I was really young when I was a kid. But musically, I found out about a band called The June Spirit when I was a freshman in high school and the singer of that band really encouraged me and he's like a very inspirational person and he kind of inspired me to become a singer and play instruments and stuff.
Kika: This one's from Brittany and she also owns TSAlove with me. She lives in New York. She says when Eric gets back can I sing with you two sometime?
Andrew: Yes.
Kika: Haha, she really wants to. This one's from Amy in Nebraska. She says it seems like music keeps you pretty busy. Does it ever get too hectic, to the point that you just need a break? What do you enjoy doing when you need a break from music?
Andrew: I don't think I ever get to a point where I really feel like I need a break, like where I'm going crazy. But like, I mean when I'm home and I'm resting, I usually stay home and I'm either writing music or hanging out with friends or sleeping a lot. Spending time with my family. Going to see my girlfriend.
Kika: Yeah, haha. This one's from Nate in Colorado. It's not a question but he says I've been in a depression for quite some time and your bands have really helped me out of it. And I know this is supposed to be for questions but he really just wants to thank you.
Andrew: I'm glad that I can help him like any way I can. It means a lot to me that my music is impacting anyone in anyway. It makes me feel a lot more accomplished as a musician to know that we're helping anybody with anything they need.
Kika: A lot of people are wondering about the CD. Is it actually going to be in stores?
Andrew: I think eventually--uh, right now we're waiting a couple months to see how everything goes because with Eric gone, it's like, you know, it's got really hectic and we're not sure how it's gonna work. But we want to put it in the stores within the next couple months. We're gonna just put it online, it was released on iTunes for the first time every just recently and we're just kind of waiting right now.
Kika: Okay because a lot of people were like--
Andrew: It will be in stores, it'll be in stores.
Kika: Okay. Me and someone else from TSAlove think that he looks like you. Do you think he looks like you? ((hands picture to Andrew)).
Andrew: Is this guy from like the Naked Brothers Band?
Kika: No.
Andrew: Who is it?
Kika: Haha, he's Rico from Hannah Montana!
Andrew: Rico, from Hannah--Oh! That little kid!
Kika: Yeah! Do you watch Hannah Montana? Haha.
Andrew: You know, I have seen it.
Kika: Do you think he looks like you?
Andrew: I'm not sure.
Kika: Because we were like "Oh, my god! He looks like a mini-Andrew!"
Andrew: Maybe. I think this kid might look like me.
Kika: You could be like brothers, like seriously.
Andrew: Maybe I'll adopt him.
Kika: Yeah, haha. Anyway, that's it. Bye!
Andrew: Bye.
