Kika: Hi everybody it's Kika again from TSAlove with Andrew for another interview. Okay, the first like six questions are from Christina in Virginia -- no seven. Okay, what is your favorite color?
Andrew: I'd say like yellow. Like a good egg yolk yellow. I really like pastel colors.
Kika: Who would win in a fight, Darth Vadar or Batman?
Andrew: Um, well I think Batman. My reason behind that is he has like really cool gadgets. So I think Batman would win. Well I dunno I guess lightsabers are pretty cool, you could probably chop right through batman. If you got close enough to him, psh!
Kika: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Andrew: Probably a Koala.
Kika: Why?
Andrew: I dunno, they're just really cool. Like, I just love Koalas. Or a Panda. Anything in like the little bear family would be really cool.
Kika: Okay this or that: Reese's or Snickers?
Andrew: Reese's.
Kika: Starwars or Harry Potter?
Andrew: Harry Potter.
Kika: MySpace or AIM?
Andrew: AIM.
Kika: Fall Out Boy or Forever the Sickest Kids?
Andrew: Ooh.
((Mason from Metro Station interrupts for a second and then I ask him for a picture with him after this.. haha))
Andrew: Well, I'm old school Fall Out Boy fan, so. I love Forever the Sickets Kids but I'm gonna have to say Fall Out Boy. FTSK are awesome.
Kika: Yeah, they are. Giraffes or Elephants?
Andrew: Um... elephants.
((My friend taking the video is texting and it looks funny so I ask her what she's doing...))
Kika: Who have been your favorite bands to play with on tour?
Andrew: Um, oh man. I loved touring with Lydia and Brighten a lot, but this tour has been really really fun. Being with Metro Station and Forever the Sickest Kids has been a really cool experience too. But I love Brighten. A lot.
Kika: Okay, what is a good story about what happened on tour?
Andrew: Oh my goodness. A good story about what's happened on tour? You know, I really. Everytime I get asked this question, it's like, the pressure's on. I don't really know any good tour stories, I guess. I dunno we do some really weird stuff. Our AC went out on a drive from Arizona to California and that was the most awful thing in the entire world. It sucked.
Kika: Okay, what is the best thing a fan has ever gotten you?
Andrew: (holds up fanbook) This is pretty cool. Although, my friend Johnny bought me a pair of Nike Dunks which is really odd because I dunno why. But that was really cool. This is really cool too.
Kika: Okay this one is from Kathleen in California. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you at a show?
Andrew: Oh, um. The funniest thing that has happened to me at a show. Each time we've played at the Knitting Factory in LA something really weird has happened. The first time we played there I literally jumped back and I slipped on a cord and flew through the air and landed on my back. But I kept singing somehow, magically. I went pretty far into the air. There's videos of it somewhere.
Kika: Yeah, probably on YouTube.
Andrew: And then the last time we played there a week ago there was this group of girls that were like right to the left of me and I went down to like give people high fives, and one of them grabbed me and almost pulled me into the crowd while I was playing.
Kika: Wow, you should've gone. Gone into the crowd.
Andrew: I was thinking about it, but it was kinda scary. I almost jumped in but I was scared I wouldn't be able to come back up.
Kika: Okay this one's from May in Minnesota. It seems like in all the pictures and videos on YouTube, you're always wearing the same San Diego hat. Why do you like it so much?
Andrew: Haha, um. It was pretty much from touring with My American Heart, like, they just have so much pride and right after the tour I went out and bought a San Diego Padres hat just to show Jesse and the guys and I was like check this out! Represent. And it's just sick... cool colors. My manager hates it, but whatever. But I like it. I dunno. I love San Diego.
Kika: Why does your manager hate it?
Andrew: I dunno. He just doesn't like it.
Kika: Okay, this is from Amy in Nebraska. What does the tattoo on your arm represent?
Andrew: You know, it's a really funny question, like, I dunno if it really represents anything quite in general. Like, I drew it. I mean I'm serious when it comes down to certain things but like, when it comes to just myself, I'm just a really goofy random person so I decided if I got a tattoo it would be like nothing serious. But I just went out and I just really like robots. And I drew some robots and love. I love everyone. So, yeah.
Kika: Okay this is from Erin in Florida. How old were you when you got your first piercing and tattoo?
Andrew: I got my lip pierced when I was 16 years old and it was to avoid playing trumpet in marching band at homecoming. And I got my first tattoo when I was 18.
Kika: This is also from Erin in Florida. Do you have abs?
Andrew: Abs? No. Not really. I'm pretty out of shape.
Kika: This is from Harvey in Georgia. Are you recognized everywhere you go?
Andrew: Um, no. I wouldn't say like everywhere I go. Usually like in certain areas. I would say in Texas probably. And like the Northeast, like New York and Jersey. And like at home. Usually if I'm at the mall or something. But yeah, never anything crazy.
Kika: This is from Mary in California. She says that she would like to thank you for taking the time to answer our questions and she read that you're from Puerto Rico. Did you ever live there and if so for how long?
Andrew: I was actually born in Puerto Rico. And I lived there for the first 7 years of my life. It's amazing, you should go.
Kika: From Kayla in California, is it hard to keep close relationships alive while you're on tour and busy with your music?
Andrew: You know, I would say yes. You know, it's like really hard to keep communicating with your friends and you know, you want to keep talking to all of them as much as possible because they're your closest people at home, but when you're out on the road it's like really difficult because you have so much stuff to worry about and so much to do. I try as hard as I can to make sure that I keep in contact with everyone but it takes a lot of time.
((Interupted again for a second...))
Kika: Okay, last question. From Ranger in France. Do you think you'll ever go on tour in France?
Andrew: Yes. We actually are talking about it a lot and trying to plan out UK dates and places in Europe and stuff. So, you know, there's been a lot of talk about it. But I wanna wait until Eric gets back.
Kika: Yeah, 'cause that's a big thing.
Andrew: Yeah, I mean, we're constantly getting offers like that but it's kinda like a thing I would never wanna experience without him.
Kika: Yeah. Okay, well that's it. Bye!
Andrew: Bye! |
